Franklin Mountain State Park

This is a bonus map, as we extend our mapping project to other parts of Texas. This park is a very fun and difficult ride. The terrain is typical desert scenery, so watch out for cactus in your tires, and snakes in the path. If you can avoid being swept away in sand storms that can whip through the mountains, this desert back drop is a fun escape from trails that are somewhat similar in topography and environment. There are two sections, the Lower Sunset and Upper Sunset, both of which are inherently rocky as they lie on the foothills of the Franklin Mountains. If you are in El Paso, for the ride, don't forget to stop by the infamous Chicos Tacos to fuel your body to get through this course.
